Standards & Documentation
Every installation we carry out is compliant with current Australian standards and the NCC. We provide full documentation including certification.
Australian Standards
The primary Australian standard for fire testing of building materials, components, and structures. All our fire spray coatings and penetration sealing systems are tested and rated to AS 1530.
Section C of the BCA sets out the fire resistance requirements for building elements, including walls, floors, and service penetrations. Every installation we carry out is designed to meet or exceed these requirements.
The current edition of the NCC incorporates updated requirements for passive fire protection. We stay current with all NCC amendments and ensure our works comply with the latest version.
Governs the installation, inspection, and testing of fire dampers in HVAC systems. Our fire damper certification program is conducted fully in accordance with AS 1682.
Covers the performance requirements for systems used to protect service penetrations through fire-rated walls and floors. All penetration sealing systems we install are assessed against this standard.
The ABCB develops and maintains the NCC. We maintain current knowledge of all ABCB guidance documents and advisory notes relevant to passive fire protection.
What You Receive
We don't just do the work — we give you the paperwork your certifier needs. Every job comes with a full compliance package.
Issued on completion of every installation. Certificates reference the applicable standard, the system installed, and the fire resistance level (FRL) achieved.
Detailed reports for fire damper inspections and penetration audits. Includes defect identification, remediation carried out, and final status of each item.
Comprehensive photographic records of all works — before, during, and after installation. Provided as part of the compliance package for every job.
For fire spray coatings, we provide full system specifications including the product used, application thickness, and the FRL achieved — suitable for submission to your certifier.
How It Works
We review drawings and inspect the site to identify all passive fire protection requirements.
We specify the appropriate approved system for each element — penetrations, structural steel, or dampers.
Works carried out by certified applicators to the specified system and applicable Australian standard.
Compliance certificates, inspection reports, and photographic evidence issued on completion.
Why It Matters
Non-compliant passive fire protection can result in failed inspections, costly rectification works, and delays to your occupation certificate. Worse, it can expose you to liability if a fire event occurs.
Our Commitment
"Every certificate we issue stands up to scrutiny. We don't sign off on work that isn't right."
We work exclusively in passive fire protection. That means our team knows the standards inside out — and we won't cut corners to meet a programme date.
